:: Comments..

:: This Album Was Written just before christmas 2003. I wanted to write an album that had many different styles to it, kind of like a showcase of what I can do, so I would be able to let people hear what im about, as a musician and guitarist..

:: Ive always loved instrumentals, the fact that the lead guitar was the main voice as it were, and having the equipment available that allowed me to record 128 digital tracks direct to PC was an awesome experience for someone that was used to a crappy old 4-track recorder.. so my recording kind of took off from this album..

:: It's meant to be about a boy who gets taken away to the 7even Bridges, he gets really scared, but when he arrives he never wants to leave.. each track is about each of the crossings, or bridges he makes with these martians. By the time the journey ends, hes sad and never wants to leave... I hope to someday do a follow up album, but OVERTURE kind of got in the way.. it was always done with the intention of maybe some of the music being used for film or T.V. too, as this is someting I'd want to get into..

:: 7even bridges was also a big proving ground for me, as I usually come up with hundreds of ideas but never put anything down..

:: To me my favourite track is My World, along with Far Reaching Sun, which kind of has a belting solo at the end, and a lovely middle section that nearly killed me !! if a little rushed.. it was kind of hurried on at the last minute, but when I heard it back I simply went nuts, it was the PERFECT ENDING to the album, very thematic and had a great vibe about it.. definitely one id love to play live sometime

:: Even though I love technical playing, I love to write REALLY strong melodies, anthemic ones, thats kind of what this ones about, but theres always going to be some widdling on my albums, its a part of guitar playing I enjoy...

:: Incidentally, the artwork was done long before I changed the title name from "seven" to "7even".. I just thought it looked cooler..
