:: Playing guitar is so subjective, theres simply no right or wrong way to learn or play guitar. With the Internet now at everyones fingertips, I still offer 1-on-1 Private Tuition. Simply put, it cannot be beat for improving a guitarist/bassists abilities.

:: I offer Complete style/harmony/theory lessons in all styles, from full on Be-bop, playing through changes, to country styles, to Rock workshops, Fusion classes, Heavy Metal, all styles, and all levels over the years which im pleased to say have improved the abilities of countless guitarists.

:: For over 4 years I taught A-level performance guitar in London, and have also taught at Hertfordshire University, and various Adult Education courses too...

Im also registered with the Registry of Guitar Tutors, and am qualified to teach London College of Music grades 1-8.

I have also Taught Guitar at the Musicians Insitute London way back in 1995, in their Part-Time Course.

:: Past/Present Student Comments

:: Student's who have studied with me over the years have kindly given their time to write about my teaching over the years.

:: A very big thank you to you all who continue to study with me, and best of luck to those of you out there gigging whom have studied with me in the past..

:: If you are thinking of taking lessons then you can either take lessons one-to-one with me privately, or have webcam lessons through music virtuosity. I also do correspondance lessons via. email. Bespoke lessons including Video/Tab/Audio are available on request also.

:: Tom Crofts [Bass Player]

Bassist Tom Crofts "..Steve is a great guitarist, musician and teacher as well as being a great guy in general..."

"..He taught me loads about theory and music in general..."

"..His love of music was obvious in his lessons, which were always fun, enlightening and inspiring..."

:: Billy Payne [Guitarist/Musician]

"..I think the best thing about Steve as a guitar tutor is that his enthusiasm for the guitar and for music in general is completely contageous. Every week throughout the time I was taking lessons with Steve, the hour lesson was something I really looked forward to and once the lesson was over and I'd got home the first thing I wanted to do was to pick up my guitar and carry on with the work we'd done in the lesson, which I think is a near miracle for a teenage boy as I was when I started.."

"..He also always really seemed to love teaching and to really want to get you involved. On a couple of occasions Steve got me up on stage with his band which started my love for gigging. These days I gig 4 or 5 times a month and spend most of my free time writing, recording and rehearsing with my band and don't know what I would do if I wasn't playing music, and I think this is due in no small part to Steve's influence.."

"..Oh yeah, and also he is I think the best guitarist I have ever seen in person. I would recommend Steve to anyone..."

:: Stan Lodge [Guitarist]

"..Steve Forward is a fabulous guitarist and tutor. He can play and teach in so many different and varied styles from heavy metal right through to classical. I doubt if you could find a better teacher than Steve he`s a great guy as well. I should know, he teaches me.."

:: Neil Walker [Guitarist/Musician]
