:: The boys are back in town

:: Thin Lizzy are one of my favourite bands of all time and there was too many tunes to pick to do live..

:: I recorded the harmony guitar on the backing track so i could play the top harmony and rhythm live..

:: again, this is my interpretation of the track.. hope you like it .. cheers x

:: Miserlou

:: Miserlou.. some of you may remember it from the cult film Pulp Fiction..

:: I remember seeing Dick Dale performing this on Jools Holland years ago and thought it would be good to do a version of it..

:: This is my interpretation of the track.. hope you like it .. cheers x

:: Brothers

:: At last, one of my own original compositions, 'Brothers' - it features a great backing made by Bebeto from Italy which ive reworked a lot to make it fit in with my melody, so cheers..

:: Hope you like it, its one of my more mellow tunes.

:: June Video Update '07

:: Catch up with what I'm up to with my latest video update.. Here I talk about my gear and doing solo gigs in a little more detail..

:: I've improved the quality a little from the last video that was floating about.. and I like to keep these short and interesting..

:: The Background music is from my album '7even Bridges 2 Cross' and the tracks called 'Running Into Minds'.

:: Hendrix Jam - All Along the Watchtower

:: This now classic version of my favourite tune by Jimi, All Along The Watchtower has been very popular on youtube.

:: I had just gotten a camcorder and was just trying stuff out, and this happened to be rattling around in my head and ears for a few days beforehand..

:: Hope you like it..

:: Jeff Beck - 'Cause we've ended as lovers

:: I love playing this song so much, its got a lot of feeling in it.. The melodies quite straight forward but I do tend to play with it a bit..

:: I use the wah a few times to make a more vocal effect but turn it off for the main 'solo' part in the middle

:: This usually appears in my solo set at the end of the first set, and it goes down well with budding guitarists everywhere...
:: Clapton Jam - Crossroads

:: I remember ruining my record of this as a youngster trying to learn how to capture Clapton's phrasing and feel.. impossible but I do try!

:: Clapton's my main inspiration, as well as Hendrix, for me picking up the guitar in the first place and like millions of others I get such a kick out of performing this live..

:: I try to stick as close to the original solo as much as I can as I think its a really good lyrical solo..
:: Gary Moore Jam - Walkin' By Myself

:: Here it is, the one that started it all..

:: I was fooling around with the idea of going out solo, and after carefully cobbling together some gear, I tentatively started singing as well.. I'm quite pleased with this version and live it goes down a storm!

:: I have a useable voice, and so thats good enough to start doing solo gigs and after getting good feedback from this video I decided that the time had arrived for me to branch out and go solo..

:: I try to play the solo like Gary Moore did on the record, with a few of my own ideas in his similar style thrown in for good measure.. that really kind of sums up what im about as a player as well. I can never play exactly like the record, I always have to put my own slant on things somewhere.. hope you like it..

:: Steve w/Preacher - Doctor Doctor Intro

:: Here I am playing the Intro to the UFO classic Doctor Doctor..

:: Im using the basis of the melody from the original but go off on my own phrasing journey to try and coax as much out of the lead break as possible.. tastefully..
