Here are some free guitar related video lessons, and cubase tutorials. so jump in and learn something new!

The Guitar Zone concept came about in 2020 when I started doing video lessons for all my students during lockdown of 2020/2021.

Guitar Zone is now a premium subscription service of the same name. Check it out here.

Using the Cubase Score Editor | Pt.1 | For Guitarists.

Many of my students and people on my Facebook Guitar Lessons Page have been asking me to do some kind of tutorial series on my favourite DAW, Cubase, specifically, using the Cubase Score Editor, which seems to elude some people.

I must admit I'm by no means an expert in this field, but, since lockdown happened in the UK, I've been doing all my lessons via. video, so producing TAB and Notation was a necessity.

I cover loads of useful things in here,  and even stumble across a few new ideas and tips too!

I hope it helps some of you when creating your own Notation/TAB sheets for lessons and learning.

Using the Cubase Score Editor | Pt.2 | For Guitarists.

A new Cubase tutorial following on from Part 1 in November 2020.

During lockdown, I've using the Cubase Score Editor more and more to produce lesson sheets, scores, rhythm, lead and tablature guitar charts and more  for my students and private clients.

Loads of new features, tips, tricks and techniques that will help the beginner/intermediate users.

This is mostly aimed at us guitarists. I hope you find some useful information in this video.

Pink Floyd | Shine On You Crazy Diamond | Remake.

Here is my remake of Pink Floyd's, 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond'.

One of my side-jobs as a musician is that I write and create backing tracks for clients and myself to perform to.

I sometimes do a one man Pink Floyd tribue show called One Floyd, and before I went out and did these shows, the backing tracks all needed to be made.

Check out One Floyd.

Guitar Zone  | How To... Series | Picking.

First Guitar Zone video is all about rock guitar picking. Here are a few examples, complete with TAB.

Sweep picking and alternate picking exercises are covered in this mini-lesson, along with a little biog on the players that inspired me when learning guitar.

Breaking down Brian Mays' Guitar Solo in, 'A Kind Of Magic'.

I have my Dad to thank for turning me onto the music of Queen, and Brian May as a guitar influence.

Here is a video from ages ago, where I'm walking you through how I recreated the outro guitar solo of this epic track.
I used my Burns signature Brian May guitar for this session.
